The GHI's Tried & Tested review of the KitchenAid 5KEK1032
The KitchenAid 5KEK1032 is a sleek and attractive looking kettle. The slim gooseneck spout makes pouring easy, regardless of whether you’re brewing yourself a pour over coffee, making tea, or using a cafetière. This is not the quickest kettle but is certainly a good option for the style-conscious and for KitchenAid loyalists.

The KitchenAid 5KEK1032 is a good option for those who enjoy teas that call for specific temperatures, such as green tea which should be brewed at 70C and white tea, which is its best when brewed at 85C. Do be mindful of the fact that you’ll be waiting a long time for this kettle to boil, despite its relatively small 1 litre capacity. When boiling its maximum quantity this model took nearly six minutes, and when boiling the minimum, 250ml, it took just under two minutes!
The maximum marker is found on the inside of this kettle, but we would have liked to see a few more gauges, such as the minimum quantity. Nonetheless, this is a lightweight kettle, coming in at under 900g when empty. We loved how controlled the pour was too. It’s a quirky looking kettle, which is great if you enjoy herbal teas and pour over coffees, its small capacity makes it better suited to small families or couples.
